Celestial Moth Stencil — Mystical Botanical Bleach Art Stencil

A moth caught somewhere between the forest and the night sky, crowned with a crescent moon, wings marked with smaller moons and fine linework, and a trail of flowers blooming from where its body meets the earth. A small burst of stars grounds the whole piece at the base.

Moths have always carried a bit of symbolism around transformation and moving toward the light, and this design leans right into that. It's easily one of the most detailed pieces I've cut, with a lot of fine linework in the wings.

Cut from 7 mil mylar, same as every stencil in my shop, thin enough to hold all that detail, sturdy enough to survive multiple uses when cared for properly.

Unlike most stencils you'll find online, this design is built specifically for bleach painting — the cutout areas are meant to lighten, not represent dark detail like a traditional paint-in stencil.

Best results: These stencils are designed for gluing down and applying with a thickened bleach mixture (not spray application) — this is what makes the fine detail in a design like this come through crisply. Full process in my free tutorial.
