This piece was created as a custom commission inspired by Rosalía's album artwork—a celebration of contemporary art, music, and cultural identity wrapped into wearable form.
The client came to me with a clear vision: they wanted to carry this iconic imagery with them, transforming album art into something tangible they could wear. What drew me to this project was the challenge of translating such elegant, classical portraiture into bleach painting. The soft draping of fabric, the delicate shadows across the face, the graceful tilt of the head—all of these required careful layering and patience to capture that luminous, almost ethereal quality.
Rosalía's aesthetic has always been about blending the traditional with the modern, the sacred with the contemporary, and that duality felt perfect for bleach work. The golden-bronze tones that emerge from bleach on black fabric echo the warm, timeless quality of the original image while adding that raw, hand-painted texture that makes each piece unique.
